Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) is an alternative to conventional forms of urban development, integrating urban planning and water management to better manage, for example, water supply security, water quality in natural waterbodies, flood risk, and amenity values of waterbodies.

The ‘Activating WSUD for healthy, resilient communities’ research programme initially focused on a series of quick wins. This report reflects on progress made in meeting the research needs of WSUD’s community of practice and make recommendations on priorities for future research.
